Ayla’s debut single ‘Wish I Was’ is still on rotation in stores across the world. The track came in at the 15th most played song on triple j on the year of its release, setting Ayla up for her musical journey.
Two follow up singles also received high rotation on triple j and these all featured on Ayla’s debut EP ‘When the World Ends’. A triple j ‘Like a Version’ (of the Hunters and Collectors’ track ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me’), then cemented her place in the Australian Music Scene. The European market has also embraced Ayla, by way of a distribution deal through Italian label ‘EGO Records’, with remixes getting play around Europe.
“Ayla has an incredible knack for making it all sound so effortless. Every song is a winner.” – Max Quinn, triple j
Released in January 2018, Ayla’s follow up EP ‘Let’s Talk Monday’ was “…co-written with Glenn Sarangapany (Birds of Tokyo), produced by Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music) and mixed by Ian Pritchett (Boo Seeka, Kim Churchill, Angus & Julia Stone), the EP received a nod of approval from triple j before its release.” – The Industry Observer. One of the tracks 'Like the Other Kids' has over a million streams on Spotify.
Supports for Kim Churchill and Kate Miller-Heidke on their National tours brought Ayla’s sound across the Country, and recent shows in London and The Netherlands, took it abroad.
Ayla spent 2019 refining her goals and sound, and 2020 will see her re-emerging with brand new music, and a twist on her previous sound.
